At Walsten Outposts, adventure runs deep in our veins. In 2022, longtime outdoorsmen Alf Moncrief, Rob Perchuk, and Derek Grandbois took the helm from Kevin and Lizzy Walsten, carrying forward a proud tradition while infusing it with their own passion for the wilderness.

With decades of combined experience in hunting, fishing, and flying, our team lives and breathes the northern experience. Both Rob and Alf are pilots, and it’s not unusual to see them personally flying guests in or out, or stopping by to check on camps. Their hands-on approach ensures every guest receives the same care and attention to detail they’d expect for themselves.

From the moment we took ownership, we dove headfirst into our dream — creating a world-class fly-in fishing experience that balances rugged adventure with modern comfort. Over the past few years, we’ve been hard at work improving and expanding our facilities — from new docks and upgraded cabins to brand-new builds designed with today’s anglers in mind.
