From your private outpost cabin with panoramic lake views, explore seven rugged miles of shoreline and the legendary Sturgeon River system—a haven for record-breaking catches. Along the way, enjoy wildlife sightings, Inspiration Falls, and sunsets over the Canadian Shield.
After a day on the water, return to comfort and charm. Inside, you’ll find a brand-new kitchen, updated flooring throughout, and a large screened-in patio—perfect for relaxing out of the weather or away from the bugs. Step outside onto the spacious wrap-around deck to soak in the views, share stories, and watch the stars.
Roger Lake Outpost also features a new icehouse, keeping alive the tradition of harvesting ice in winter to keep your summer catch fresh. A new outdoor shower house with a flushing toilet brings modern convenience to the wilderness. The main cabin accommodates up to eight guests in newly renovated comfort, while larger groups—up to 15 people total—can make use of the overflow cabin to ensure everyone has space and privacy.
We provide maps, quality fishing gear, and regular floatplane service from Kenora—so you can focus on reeling in the big ones, exploring the shoreline, and making memories that last a lifetime.

Tips
- Pack lightweight items – there is a 100 lb per person limit for the flight
- Bring extra medications as flying is weather-dependent
- Live minnows must be purchased in Ontario
- Roger Lake is within the boundaries of NWO Trophy Waters. You can keep fish to eat while visiting, but no fish can be taken home.
